Once a month the experienced educators at Shirlee Green Preschool host a Take Home Teaching playdate for children getting ready for kindergarten. If you wonder how to help your little one practice what they need to know for kindergarten in fun ways using things from home, this is the place for you. At each session, we hope you take away a variety of skills that you can use at home. We also hope this is an informative time for your family in which the skills you take away prepare you all for what awaits in kindergarten.  Each session includes

• Seasonal songs and fingerplays

• Child-led handicrafts or process art

• Review of developmentally appropriate activities for your child's age to prepare for kindergarten readiness

• Games and activities children are able to lead and play together.
